Parking: a source of frustration in many companies
Many companies face the following common problem: too many cars and too few parking spaces.
The typical solution is to assign all parking spaces to individual employees until there are none left. While this is one way to do it we think it’s a very suboptimal solution. Every day employees who don’t have an assigned parking space often have to park their cars off site, sometimes at a considerable distance from the office. Then when they arrive at the office car park they see the many free spaces of colleagues who are either on holidays, on a business trip or at a client meeting.
The result: wasted money (a parking space is not exactly a free item) and frustrated employees.

Parking Management. Where supply and demand for parking spaces meet
With Parking Management employees are able to free up and book parking spaces for themselves and their visitors. Advantages of the solution are:
Promote transparency and reduce frustration
The planned occupancy of all parking spaces is visible to all users. Every parking space is “cut” into blocks of 30 minutes and every block receives a color code (available, booked, assigned).
Optimise capacity
Every time an employee frees up his assigned parking space for a given amount of time the corresponding blocks become free and visible as such on the planning screen (green color code). Once a day, employees who have selected it (probably those without a dedicated space…) receive an email notification which gives them an overview of all spaces freed up over the past 24 hours.
When an employee looks for a free place for a given time for himself or for his visitor, the system will automatically look for free spaces and book one. No need to manually keep a record. No need to look for free spots in a long list. Employees who ask for it also receive an automatic e-mail every time a parking space is freed.
Connect Parking Management and Visitor Management
Parking and Visitor Management complement each other very well. When pre-registering his visitor an employee just ticks a box “book a parking space”. The system then looks for a free parking space for a bit more than the meeting duration. It also includes the parking space number in the automatic email sent to the visitor (with access map).
In the visitors list reception then sees a “P” next to the visitor’s name. In the parking overview they also have an overview of all spaces. When the visitor calls reception from the gate both have the reference to hand. Learn more about Visitor Management.
